  1. Circles

What I love most about Circles is that I can be a lesser douche because I don’t have to share my nonsense with everyone. There are people in my Circles whom I revere and I don’t have to fill their Stream with my half-baked updates. Circles help me be a responsible douche. +1 for Google for the idea! even though it’s not new, it’s well integrated and that makes it different.

  2. Why not F***Book?

Why does anyone need another social media? Why do we need a new F***Book or twitter? It’s all about control. You see, we geeks have serious control issues and we want absolute control over our stuff. We need to be able to tweak the system and make it work for us. We don’t let the system use us. That’s where F***Book fails miserably for us. It doesn’t bend to our will, instead it wants us to bend to its will and that’s when we raise the middle finger and delete our profiles. A system we cannot control is not a system that’s worthy of our time.

If you’re not a geek, then fine, you have your own paradise, be happy on it. We don’t bother enlightening you why you should give a damn about your online identity/privacy and we certainly don’t expect you to understand anything related to how these things work. Your ignorance defines you and our understanding defines us. We have absolutely no problem with you using F***Book.

I read a pro-F***Book article saying that asking someone to mail some photos is so like 20th century and people not using F***Book should know that very well. Following something without questioning its practices, without understanding how it works, letting it use you, denying logic and defending its fundamental flaws is so like 15th century folks, We’re still centuries ahead of you.

If you’re my friend and you think I should see something, then mail it to me. If you insist that it is already shared on F***Book, then that’s when I stop giving a damn about you.

  3. The difference

Chanux and I were having a conversation and he told me that it’s good to have rich friends. A moment later he re-phrased it and said Rich to have good friends. He said it so casually, but I have never heard a more truer one. We indeed are rich should we have many good friends.

I don’t understand a word of this song, but it always brings nostalgia.

  6. Cowboy bebop is one anime I’m glad I watched. Deals with people, emotions, loneliness, and bonds. Background music is a killer.

Leo Sayer-When I need you. One of my childhood favourites, can’t get this song outta my head so lightly. Makes me feel nostalgic and all.
